Re: The Obligatory YouTube Music Video Topic

I went outside yesterday to buy some food - first time out since the last weekend. Everything is closed down, only grocery stores and pharmacies are open. Stupid people stockpiling toilet paper and fresh food which will spoil in 3 days. A tip - buy fresh just as much as you're sure you're going to e...

Re: The Obligatory YouTube Music Video Topic

1st week of working from home and general self-isolation (almost) done; they tell us to expect at least 8 more weeks of this. Outside the streets are deserted, only grocery stores are open, there's nothing on TV but apocalyptic news and reruns. Of course, could be much worse than this - at least thi...

The PGF programmer, having moved onto a commercial product (Panzer Corps) for which he is actually earning money, has effectively abandoned PGF. Furthermore, his contract with the Panzer Corps publisher prevents him from doing any further work on PGF or to share its source code. So for all that matt...

Re: [Let's Play] Sid Meier's Colonization

Planting forests would be great. Faster roads would be a nice addition too. Especially on the bigger maps transport is slow. Settlers may need 10 turns or longer to get to a certain colony. It would be enough if colonists could be transported in wagons. That would make them significantly faster on ...

Yeah, but i'm not talking about culture in CivIII - if you look at the city management screen you can see which tiles your city actually can use (the area has a thin white border). It's small for small cities, and when your city grows it gets bigger. See below: https://www.civfanatics.com/images/civ...

Re: [Let's Play] Sid Meier's Colonization

The Incan cities in the south do "control" a larger area than European and other native settlements. Before you get Peter Minuit as a Founding Father the natives will claim the land immediately neighboring their settlements, well i found that Incas will claim land that's two squares away. Would be interesting to try a PG-style game but with chess-like play (only one piece moves OR attacks per side per turn). Would almost make it feel like a real time strategy game rather than a turn based one.
