i don't know any easy way to copy threads from other forums. what i do is this: i edit my post on jp, copy the content (so the emoticons will be copied correctly too), i create a new post here, and i paste the old post, and i repeat it one by one

i know it's a tiresome task, that's why i sent a mail for the efile makers and designers to ask them to copy those posts about their projects what they think are important

Name the pub.

Something other than Roaring Maus. I won that contest at JP's.

Ha, nice one! I always liked the name and the roaring maus gif :cool
Maybe we can have a new contest for the new pub?

@ Csaba: I intend to duplicate my incomplete CC16-AAR in the same way and publish in this forum and finish the campaign in the coming weeks. Is that OK for you?

for me: yes :)

however, i'd wait for copying the current cc threads, because we couldn't convience Jan (aka pzm) yet about the necessarity to move here, and he hasn't joined yet, and i think nobody would like to see a fragmented scroll & honor, etc.

the same is true for map, icon, etc. reservation. so when Luis* gives us a green light, and this forum will be announced publicly, we can close (lock) forums on jp, and there will be only one official thread. you can send a pm to Jan about it, but i'd say let's wait till an official announcement. right now copying the important threads would be more important imo, and you can politily ask more people to join, because i definitely wouldn't like copying someone else's posts except maybe the faq/essential readings threads :2cents so the more people copy their own content what they think to be important, the easier to convience Jan

* Luis is very busy now, and we also work hard on a new official exe fixing the f*cking victory conditions (again :sigh )

of course we can. just write here (or into a new thread :dunno ) the candidates, i'd wait for more users to register, so let's say, the deadline of the brainstorming period could be oct. 31, then we can launch a poll to select

is it acceptable?

Write the suggestions until 31st October and then bring up a poll.
Of course, odds are that every user would think of a name and then vote on the poll their own choice... :D

Nah, there can be only one real name: Double Deuce; and Patrick Swayze has to be the cooler :cool :cool
(fom the 1989 movie Road House). I will run a new thread to collect the suggestions.

:howdy Csaba,

"Europe" survived the good ol' medieval plague. All this COVID-19 stuff shall eventually pass as well. Anthropologically speaking, well, I won't go there today... :) And, yeah, certain recent political power grabs may ultimately amount to just insignificant historical footnotes. Father time devours virtually anything and everything, including delicious fatanieros dishes ! :yes

:howdy Bülent,

it's not the virus (though it's scary too), but the human beings who make me tired, you know, sharing fake news, panicking, spreading rumours, acting like a 5y kid (e.g. seeing their emotional limbo between "we al die tomorrow" and "everything will be fine tomorrow"), etc., etc. ok, maybe i'm just more mysantrope as usually :whatever

regarding "fatanieros": i searched for this thinking it might be a very special greek spirit like ouzo, when i realized you mean the hungarian "fatányéros" (literally: "meal served on a wooden plate", usually baked/grilled meat and vegetables) :thud so you made me laugh a bit, thanks a lot! :bow

keep calm and stay save, y'all!

Damn those English Language Cookbooks...

As for the "people", well my friend, I've already posted an LA Times snippet re: Albert Camus' 1947 novel, "The Plague" in "Open Mike". Since you're already quite familiar with the term "banality", just extend it to the academically sounding "banality of emotional roller-coasters due to perceived threats to one's very existence"... :lol As for misanthropy, well, I'm sure we're gonna have plenty of opportunities to touch upon such matters in the days to come...

Stay safe and, what else, sane ! :ihope

a bit more hopefully this isn't near to "plague days"... wouldn't like to be at such risk (and realistic as life threat) as i'm "moving around" :p (out of neccessity)

draconic measures are what i mind most so far where i sit, dying is easy - but not ready yet :) ... for example it's forbidden to persons over 65 to go out (and that include my perents), some institutions work till 14 h so doing some usual stuff is hard if not in "state service" but private company and so on and on... hope it won't last too long.

but not time nor place for frustrations, enjoy games and interests & take care

thanks Ale :howdy and keep the morale of your parents. in this situation lots of older people feel themselves imprisoned and abandoned, caring our parents and loved ones can be literally life saver
