After struggling with CC#71 I need short and relaxing campaign for recovery ;) I think CC#2 with its 10 scenarios long path and played @100% setting should be perfect for purpose. Obviously, now I will go using OG and included CC2 stuff. Results will follow soon.

1. Saturn on the Chir

I have reloaded twice at the beginning to get better leader for my tank (Influence and Battlefield Intelligence didn't excite me). :disgust
When looking on the map I saw strange occurrence – north central VH with Russian flag together with adjacent hexes was in my spotting area. I turned on spotting indicators for further check and was surprised even more – some of my VH with Romanian flags were in enemy spotting range! :shock There is something wrong with map settings, as some objectives marked with allied or axis flags are set as owned by opponent. To correct that I have “recaptured” all of wrongly designed flags in my first turn, which surprisingly provided some extra prestige. :) That way enemy couldn't spy me anymore. Soon occurred that only one airfield on the western side of map worked properly and could be used for airplanes deployment of resupplying. :noway

The battle wasn't hard, just repeal initial Russian attacks and then counterattack towards both northern objectives. I purchased temporarily two FW-190 to deal with enemy planes (I had that extra cash and had no idea how to spent it better). After taking the last VH with 3 turns in spare I got HS-129 prototype.

Result: BV (-3T)

My hint will not matter for your game with 100% prestige. The prestige cap is set to 1,000 until the last scenario and you don't get a BV bonus because you will always exceed the cap with map and turn prestige.
At low prestige setting, the player lives off the BV bonus if he keeps the army cost at zero. For these players my hint is valid.

The basic criticism of this campaign is that the prestige cap and the BV bonus have no meaningful relationship. Even assuming that the player plays with 0% prestige, he does not get a full BV bonus at the end of scenarios 1 to 6. I don't understand why the designer would offer players a BV bonus of 1,100 to 1,500 if it is then cut off by the cap at 1,000. That's because the designer didn't understand the effect of the cap.

This is very old custom campaign, when designers tried to create new campaigns practically without any tools. :notworthy They were usually based on original SSI campaign files and scenarios, which were modified in some way with use of PG2 scenario editor. If I remember correctly Lasse Jensen made some early attempts to provide set of tools which could help campaign and efile makers. Later Programmer (Carl) created his Campaign Editor. Afterwards things became easier. That was long before Luis made his excellent PG2 Suite for complex editing.
Considering those circumstances it will be unfair to blame designer for some obvious mistakes (from today's point of view and knowledge collected by years), so I will not complain hard (even if I will note and point some problems in my AAR sometimes). :yes

I will just collect as much as possible from the map and turns, and will forget about cap then. :lol

I have a lot of respect for everyone who used to work on the development of the game and all the tools.
It is all the more incomprehensible to me that designers fail at such a small mathematical task and do not recognize whether, for example, 1,200 or 1,500 are either greater than, equal to, or less than 1,000. In my opinion, this has nothing to do with accumulated experience and new knowledge.
But anyway, we will live with it and make the best of it.

2. Winter Storm

Before the battle I sold both temporary FW-190 and spent all prestige on upgrades. Seven infantry units, fighter and bomber were replaced with better types.
The battle went rather easy without dangerous moments due to passive enemy behavior. The only problem was long distance to furthest northeastern VH. That caused some problems due to time needed for resupplying all attacking units. Some traffic jam was created in that VH perimeter, but I was able to capture it just on time for BV. No prototype this time – one new leader for 10,5cm arty.

I made my first attempt to Zitadelle and see this is different comparing to DTR version. There is less forces on my side, so I tried to shorten defensive line moving it back, closer to Belgorod. I was hoping that with such setup may be easier to stop attacking waves of Russian infantry and tanks. :t34
At the beginning that worked well, but later I lost two of my core units (fighter and infantry) and decided to stop and play it again with even more defensive setup.
Form the start of CC I found enemy planes really annoying, as for example Russian Yak-9 fighters (very strong - much better than Me-109G and can stand against FW-190A). Honestly speaking, I don't understand idea behind making the planes shooting range=4 - I still cannot adapt to this. Newly appeared IL-2 occurred to be extremely dangerous as well, taking out 7 points of my Ferdinand (GD=10) in single shot, even being counter-shot by my 8,8cm Flak.

3. Zitadelle

Before the battle I sold 2 infantries and Hs-129 bomber. Infantry is very vulnerable in such kind of battle, so I released some prestige to invest in more useful units, steel and barrels.
Upgraded: tank to Tiger, 2 AT to Nashorns, 3 arties to Hummel and 17K18, small AD to 8.8 FlaK, Me-109G to FW-190.

After maybe three failed attempts I found finally proper setup and plan. When all Russian waves on the eastern flank were repealed I organized quick counterattack in two directions. Belgorod river bank was defended passively till the end. Furthest northeastern objective was taken two turns before the limit. Got fat & slow prototype as reward. One new leader on my bomber.

Result: BV (-2T)

4. Prokhorovka

Before the battle I only reinforced my most experienced units (Tiger, Nashorn, two arties and two fighters).

Initially I withdrawn more exposed units back to Yasnaya Polana VH, forming defensive combo there. They waited till more units arrived from farther deployment hexes. That plan worked well and position was held, however two aux 5 sp. tanks were killed. On the south I “recaptured” German VH for 80 pp (again wrong ownership in VH setting, together with an airfield without any owner). My Panzer Division attacked from German easternmost VH directing both eastern Russian objectives.
Generally I must confirm common opinion about the battle – that was easy. I scored BV with 4 turns in spare, by killing all Russian units.

Result: BV (-4T)

OK, I can change AAR settings to include information about units strength. Obviously, that will not be very helpful, as I always save my army roster for new AAR after scenario completion at HQ before the next battle. That means in this campaign core units will be always repaired back to full strength showing 10/10 (unless some of extra over-strength points remain after the battle - in such case we can see some difference). ;)

5. Kanev

Before the battle I upgraded small recon and remaining trucks to halftracks. Rest of pp was spent on overstrength of arties.

I played this battle for the first time, but I found it rather easy. Generally my plan worked well. I prepared my attack directing all 3 enemy objectives along eastern and northern border of map and it was almost successful, just missed BV by single turn. BV was obviously possible with better organization. All fighting on the left bank of Dnipr river was only intended to drag enemy forces as far as possible from decisive attack area. Anyway, some extra experience for my units is always welcome.

Result: V (BV+1T)

6. Leningrad

Before the battle I purchased one 17K18 gun for temporary defense support and upgraded towed AT to Nashorn. Rest of pp was spent on max. overstrength of arties and tank.

Deployed part of 10Pz Div including Panther, Nashorn, Hummel and Elephant on 4 DH on the east with a task to break through Russian lines and attack on the city, together with some aux units. The rest of my forces was split on 2 parts of similar strength, including pair of 17K18 for both. Two remaining Nashorns joined western group. I planned to keep defensive lines for a while, till Russian hordes will be seriously weakened.

The battle went rather easy due to absence of enemy air force (there were many turns of good weather) and small number of T34 tanks, which were eliminated early by my strong AT contingent. The only real problem caused countless artillery units placed behind attacking infantry lines, with overlapping range of fire. That was the main reason of casualties suffered here. Got BV with 2 turns in spare and self-propelled arty proto (which should be upgraded for another big gun, after selling of temporary purchased one).

Result: BV (-2T)

Before the battle I sold temporary 17K18 gun and upgraded new SPArty to Hummel, one recon to Puma, SPAD to Mobelwagen (for free) and Elefant + Nashorn to JagdPanther. No pp left for OS.

Definitely easiest battle so far. Quick breakthrough with BV in turn 5. Again lack of enemy air force made things easier, allowing to spot and soften Russian artillery with Luftwaffe.

Result: BV (-8T)

8. Nordwind

Before the battle I had enough prestige to upgrade both fighters, nothing more. During the battle I bought temporarily two planes for collected prestige.

This battle went a little chaotic, bigger map with many flags caused a problem – how to advance fast and collect as much pp as possible at the time. I will need more prestige for upgrades to new equipment, so I decided to sacrifice speed for profits. I sent my forces in many directions and operated in small groups, but luckily enemy forces were scattered over a map as well and fighting was always possible without bigger risk. At the end I got lucky BV capturing Strasbourg in the very last moment and was rewarded with tank proto.

Result: BV (LT)

9. Seelow Heights

Before the battle I sold temporary planes and upgraded my Panther to G version, remaining two Nashorns to JagdPanthers and recon to 234 type. Reinforced maximally my old tank, two guns with leader and bomber.

Seeing the initial position I remembered this battle from my old November 42 run. I was curious if similar approach is possible and repeated it. Guns softened both infantries in front of VH, when objective defender was bombed by FW. Then I attacked with my Panther and overran all three infantries on the way, clearing the path to VH. My recon was able to reach objective, so it was BV in turn 1, without single shot from Russian side. Unfortunately that way I didn't collect much prestige, but I hope it will be ok for the last battle.

10. Operation Konrad

Before the battle I spent all prestige on overstrength of two best JagdPanthers, artillery and 234/3 recon.

The battle was rather easy due to very static enemy behavior. I didn't use auxiliaries in northeastern corner, so they died distracting enemies in that area. In the meantime I attacked closest objective with main forces, which later were split on two groups directing south east and north east accordingly. All three VH were captured without problem – the last one two turns before the BV limit.

Result: BV (-2T)
