1 Fortress Holland ltbv

I first tested the scenario without buying units. That ended pretty quickly in a disaster.
So I read the old AAR's from Csaba and Spudboy in the JP's archive :idea .
The German air superiority was overwhelming, but the auxiliary fighters were able to win some victories in air combat.
The most vulnerable was the southern VH. Here the defenders were already beaten in the 3rd round and the VH was open.
I bought two Grenadiers and a Range 4 artillery with mountain movement 2. They facilitated the capture of the northern VH. Here are stacked units entrenched. In my rush, I forgot to set up an infantry. But it was not a broken leg - I won the BV without she.

2 Zeeland loss (mandatory)

A very nice defensive scenario in which the units gain a lot of experience.
In the first attempt I wanted to stop the Germans right at the first river. But that was not a good idea because my defense was within the reach of a heavy German artillery.
Restart and retreat until after the next river. There I stopped the Germans for a long time. But at some point, the forces were exhausted and I had to go back and repair units.
The Germans came from all sides on the water and threatened me, but no unit landed on the beach - to my luck.
The air battle was balanced. I received reinforcements from auxiliary Fighters several times and was able to defeat Goring's Air Force.

The previous good impression of the campaign is clouded by the fact that the victory conditions (take all VH) do not work. I waited too long for another "hidden hex" to appear. Instead, I should have moved in time to the last enemy to liquidate him. Annoying.

As punishment for my fast BV I do not receive a turn-prestige and no win bonus. The prestige cap greets.

I was a little scared of the long distances to the VH's and thought about bringing the necessary units there by ship and air. The way through the jungle takes too long. But the thoughts were unnecessary because I won after the first round because I could hold all the VH's. Strange and certainly not intended. No unit had to fighting.

It took me several tries to resist the large number of German tanks lossless. The purchase of a second artillery was necessary, because the support fire from one tube deterred the Germans too little.
The victory would not be possible without the two auxiliary fighters and the M10.

Although we are already in 1944, there is no other way to buy or upgrade powerful units.

I used all the prestige and donated to Artillery OS. This slightly increases the attacking effect. In cooperation with the INF-CS-leader, they could still be real weapons.
In the course of the scenario i get air support. Unfortunately, it's not much help because it rains most turns.
Overall, another nice scenario, very balanced.

13 Tarakan 3 tv

At the end of the campaign a hard piece of work awaited me again.
Mountains and missing roads, plus several stacked defenders demanded everything from my units. The artillery was constantly in action and struck off several counterattacks.
While the auxiliary units initially defended the center, my core units conquered the eastern and southern VH's.
The Juata oil fields in the center of the map were the neuralgic point. I needed some turns to break the defense. Thereafter, the way to the last VH in the north was free, which was defended only by a single unit.

congratulations, Para! :clap you really embarked on playing campaign challenges :) :yes

regarding the problematic scenarios you mentioned:

1. balikpapan: w/o a savefile it's hard to say what happened. i don't see any irregularities in the scenario, there is only one hidden vh what should be revealed in gt-2

2. merauke: yep, it's a strange design: japs have no chance to take any vh in gt-1, so p1 wins in gt-2, though i'm not sure it's how it should work in pg2mode :dunno

if possible, next time you find any suspicious outcome, send the related savefiles to Luis :)
