I see CC archives are not very loaded with AAR's here at Open General forums, when old stuff vanished together with JP's forums death. Anyway, I still have reports from all my CC runs stored (they were played in between 2002 and 2011 - obviously with PG2).
After long break I'm playing again PG2/OG now (together with my son), pretty intensively, trying new campaigns as well as replaying some well known from the past. I hope to complete some of CC's which I have missed previously in OG soon, however due to lack of time I will not be able to write longer AAR's for sure.
I see Para started FOFY recently, so I decided to re-post my old CC33 run finished in Jan. 2011, so we will have possibility to compare tactics and army compositions, which may be more interesting than simple solo run. :huh Obviously it is already listed in SoH, so don't count it twice. ;)

1. Bzura Counterattack

It was rather small scale battle with short distance to cover. All four German VHs were taken by their dedicated counterparts, that means 4 task groups of my forces. Westernmost VH was captured mainly by my core units, where 2 of infantries were reduced to 1-2 sp during the battle. I must send them back, to avoid wasting of prestige on unwanted repairs. The last was central east VH, which was captured in the last BV turn. Got tank proto as rewards.

2. Bzura Breakout

Before the battle:
Purchased bicycle recon. Upgraded one infantry to slightly better type and arty to the same size, but range 4.

The battle was very intensive, as both sides attacked at the same time. I tried to take northeastern VH in the forest with auxiliary units and eastern VH with another group of auxiliaries reinforced with my core tank, recon, arty and Strzelcy. The rest of my core took part in defensive battle.
Parallel Germans started very strong attack from the south, with many tanks supported by artillery and strong infantry units. They smashed all defenders on their way easily. I noted that basic types of Polish infantry are very vulnerable and may be eliminated by enemy Panzers just in two shots.
So, the battle turned into some type of race where I was forced to push hardly trying to capture my objectives before Polish defensive lines collapse under strong attack of superior enemy units. Northeastern VH was taken quite easy, but then survived aux units were not able to do nothing more than securing it. The second task group was approaching systematically to the remaining German VH, which was in spotting range (I supposed the final is close), but suddenly strong group of enemy reinforcements appeared on the way. Afterward the battle in VH area started and went by next couple of turns, til VH was finally cleared (one turn before BV limit). Unfortunately any of my units could drive into it directly, so I must wait for the next turn. I was afraid that AI buy some extra unit to guard empty VH (which was SH as well), but it didn't happen luckily (lack of AI resources?) and I took it without further fight.
I noted, that due to my units weakness is not easy to gain some experience quickly on them, as they must be managed carefully. I plan to upgrade my free core units a.s.a.p. to make them more effective in the battle.

3. Kampinoski Forest

Before the battle:
Purchased 75mm arty. Upgraded one Piechota to Strzelcy and added transport to remaining Piechota..

This battle has straight plan – just go along the river from the west to the east and capture two VHs on the way. It was achieved without problems, as German attack on the west wing was stopped, and another enemy attempts to approach across the forest were unsuccessful as well. Got last turn BV.
Whole 3 bars after 3 battles for all my units is symptomatic, showing as slowly experience comes. No leaders as well (that single one was given by camp designer at the beginning).

4. Defence of Warsaw

Before the battle:
Sold 75mm arty with truck, then purchased another two the same type but with horses. Added new AD unit and upgraded last Piechota to Strzelcy.

The German forces were overwhelming in this battle, making a tight ring of infantry and artillery around Warsaw. In the air at least nine German planes were counted, when Poles had nothing but couple of ADs to deal with them. The loss was the only option here (by history and design), but I tried to do my best anyway.
The battle went very slow from the beginning, as the AI turns lasted long due to big amount of units that attacked or moved, meeting massive artillery support fire frequently. Enemy attempts to advance were successfully stopped in northern area, as well as partially in the west and the east. Attack from the south was more effective for Germans, as they managed to take southern VH on the eastern side of Wisla river, and the airfield VH in the south of the city. Luckily that was all what enemy could achieve. Remaining 5 VHs in the city, 2 on the east and 3 on the west bank of river, were successfully defended till the time limit passed.
My core forces were located in the northwestern area. They fought defensive battle first, but then counterattacked making breakthrough and clearing the northwestern perimeter of the city. All enemy units were eliminated there and my group went further along the road between Kampinoski forest and Wisla river. I took German VH on the north, couple of smaller flags and German SH on the northern border of map finally. One of my infantry units won Liberator leader. The hard battle was tied on 30 kills score on both sides.

5. Narvik

Before the battle:
Purchased additional infantry unit and truck for AD gun. Replaced all Polish trucks for free to some French type with slightly better fuel load.

French and Norwegian auxiliaries fought hardly to take northeastern VH and succeed after long artillery bombardment and several ground assaults. Serious casualties were inflicted by German bombers which frequently visited that area.
Two French legion units took southwestern VH with support of naval units after short fight. Afterward they were packed into naval transport and directed to Narvik area where landed later and helped in finishing few German survivors there.
All remaining auxiliary units on the northern side of fiord were packed gradually to their boats in port hexes and transported on the southern side of fiord, landing mainly around Narvik. My core forces were deployed on the water hexes as well, directing the outlet of infamous Rombaken fiord (Polish beautiful destroyer ORP Grom was sunk there). They landed on both sides of it. Some units attacked and captured Narvik when other part of my army captured VH on the southeastern shore. The last one was VH at the end of Rombaken fiord, which was taken by another naval assault operation one turn before BV limit.
No new leaders reported, but I noted that my Liberator together with the Norwegian auxiliary one gained a lot of prestige here, so I feel like drunken now seeing my overflown bank account. Looks like I should forget about the cap, till Africa at least.

6. Marne-Rhein Canal

Before the battle:
Sold Strzelcy with truck. Purchased 2x Strzelcy, 120mm howitzer and 40mm AD gun.

After reading some battle reports I knew it should be difficult task to avoid loss here, so I played carefully and didn't push too hard. That allowed to save many enough auxiliary units to help my core forces in final advance.
Eastern and western VHs on the front line were lost after initial German attack. The central was saved, even after defending bunker was blown out. I gathered French units around artillery bunker in front of western VH, but didn't try to retake it, just held position waiting for proper moment to counterattack. The eastern VH was quickly taken back, then my units advanced in two groups towards two initial German VHs, but the task wasn't easy due to big amount of enemy artillery placed around, which covered all together with overlapping support fire. Finally I managed to capture easternmost German VH, but the remaining two needed several turns more. After slow and carefully planned advance I managed to take both in the same turn, just single one before TV limit. Only one new leader on arty was assigned. My tank passed 4th bar now, so in the next battle will be decided if it remains leaderless for good.

7. Lagarde

Before the battle:
Sold Strzelcy. Upgraded Strzelcy do Pionierzy and some horse transports to trucks.

Quite successful round, I think, regular victory, three new leaders and a lot of experience gained.
The battle wasn't easy, especially on the left flank, where French auxiliaries supported by my core AD gun tried to defend Lagarde VH against waves of German infantry and antitank guns. Very soon I understood that French were not able to hold their positions under fire and Lagarde may be lost. I sent quickly three Polish auxiliary infantries with one arty detached from the eastern group to reinforce French defenders.
In the same time my core units, which were deployed on the eastern flank, successfully repelled all attackers and organized counterattack. They broke through enemy line and captured German VH in the centre. Afterward I split my forces, sending two infantries with four arties to northern enemy VH, when tank with another two infantries directed to western VH. On the north both my infantries approached to the objective, defended by strong Pioniere unit with leader, but didn't attack at once. First I placed my arties properly, and later bombed VH by couple of turns to soften defending unit. The second task group managed to take their objective in the meantime and even send reinforcements to Lagarde defenders, which only few survived. That solved the problem and Lagarde was safe afterward. The last VH on the north was attacked in the last turn for regular victory and weakened Pioniere was blown out easily.
I've got a leader on my tank, what is important as it was the last chance for it. Got two another leaders on infantry and arty as well. Hard working AD gun collected over 200 exp here, and several other units over 100.
So French campaign is over now – time to start rearmament before desert battles. I have some cash to spent.

8. Defence of Tobruk

Before the battle:
Upgraded all Strzelcy to Pionierzy and all arties to 25Pdr. OS'ed tank fully and some arties by 1 or 2 sp.

It wasn't real battle. Took easily Italian VH on the west in the first turn, after softening defending infantry by arty and overrunning it by my 15 sp tank. My Pionierzy approached to the second VH preparing to attack in the next turn. That objective on the southwest was taken straight in turn 2 after preliminary attacks of my bunkers (to run Italian guns out of ammo), then massive artillery bombardment (which was done by 6 arties) and finally two attacks of Pionierzy. That means BV with three turns in spare. Got poor 57mm AT gun proto.

9. Operation Crusader

Before the battle:
Purchased new 25Pdr arty and OS'ed arties.

The battle was rather chaotic but intensive. In the first turn Italian VH on southwestern line of Tobruk perimeter was taken easily. Perhaps two turn later German southernmost VH was captured by my auxiliaries attacking from eastern airfield area. In the meantime main forces around Tobruk tried to break through enemy formations on the east and west. Advance to the east was extremely slow due to massive amount of enemy infantry and artillery. On the west task was easier, as that was my core operation area. Italian VH in the city was taken and a road to westernmost VH on the left border of map opened.
Already taken VH on the south, which was defended by couple of auxiliary units, unfortunately was lost after strong German armored forces appeared and attacked. Four tanks overran completely my defenders after two turns, capturing VH and forcing survivors (only two units at 2 sp were not killed) to retreat. Luckily German division was split afterward, and single tanks operating separately were less effective than four tanks combo. I wasn't able to try take this VH again till new units were sent from HQ to reinforce my army. They appeared next to airfield, so I started advance to southern VH immediately with them. VH was recaptured soon, as only PzIIF left in the area.
Several turns later the battle was finished, as both remaining VHs (eastern- and westernmost) were captured in the same turn, allowing me to score BV with 5 turns in spare. During the battle my bicycle recon was killed by Italian bomber, but I purchased new one afterward. Next arty got leader.

10. Ghazala Breakthrough

Before the battle:
Did nothing, saving cash for later.

Not too much action on the beginning. Just driving your forces from the right to the left side of map in three columns, one on the south, one along the coast and one in between below escarpment line. In result I was a little sleepy when arrived to western area of battlefield. When unexpected enemy counterattack hit couple of my units exposed on the front line I was awoken quickly. The assault started but was led carefully to avoid loses. In result I was not able to take two westernmost VHs in BV limit range. Both were captured one turn later. Anyway, with two new leaders gained (on infantry and AD) I'm quite happy with that result, despite IT leader assigned for AD gun is not so great as could be for arty.

11. Siege of Bardia

Before the battle:
Purchased Carriers for 3 infantry and 2 artillery units.

Auxiliaries attacking Bardia fortress from the south did practically nothing, as were almost useless against deeply entrenched defenders. Perhaps two or three Italian infantry units were dispatched, but afterward any attempts of further advance failed. All decisive actions must be done by my core forces in such circumstances.
My core units started from the far west, so quite long distance was covered before engagement. Couple of turns were spent around airfield VH, then best units in carriers approached Bardia from the west. My engineers combo including CS units with four arties support forced the way to Bardia VH, which was taken in the last turn for BV. Got Greyhound recon proto, and my old small AT gained its second bar and leader, when shot on minefield in the last turn.

12. Monte Cassino

Before the battle:
Sold Carrier recon, 57mm AT and less experienced 25Pdr. Purchased Sherman V, Wolverine, M16 and 2x 25Pdr. Upgraded old 9TP to Sherman V, small 37mm AT to Wolverine and free core 25Pdr to big R-6 gun.

Very massive battle with tons of auxiliary units. Having so many overstrengthen infantry and artillery, taking victory here wasn't real problem - it was only matter of time. A lot of patience is needed when after each your or enemy attack you must wait almost half a minute till cannonade stops. In that situation I advanced very slowly, moving hex by hex, and gradually depleted enemy units from my way. All VHs were captured one by one and I thought BV-2 will be taken, when figured out that I completely overlooked German westernmost VH. I throw all available units there, advancing from the south along the shore as well as from the east and north, behind Liri river. Direct attack on VH wasn't possible, but luckily massive artillery fire from my guns placed all around blown out defending unit, and another unit blocking the way was eliminated as well, so having the only one unit that was able to drive in its truck into the VH at the end of last BV turn, I did immediately.

13. Piedimonte

Before the battle:
Purchased another M16 and 2x 25Pdr. OS some arties.

Very intensive battle, where German forces were more dangerous than in previous battle. The action was extended on much bigger map area, so the events went faster. Luftwaffe ruled in the sky clearly, harassing mainly my artillery units when were spotted and left without proper AD cover. Some strong armored forces were presented as well, but my bomber was able to support ground units and both Tiger and Panther were eliminated before made serious disarray.
Due to tight turn limits any type of victory excepting TV was out of question here, so I'm quite happy with my result achieved with one turn in spare. No core loses and new tank gained nice leader by the way. Unfortunately big arty passed 5th bar without leader, so it will remain 6-range only.

14. Operation Totalize

Before the battle:
Sold 2 newest 25Pdrs. Purchased 2x Sexton and upgraded one Sherman to Firefly.

The battle went smoothly from the beginning, despite unexpected German counterattack which came from the north, directing closest VH with an airfield in its neighborhood. It was successfully stopped as big mass of my core units were still presented in the area. My forces were split on two groups then. The first one directed southern VHs, when the second one went east, then south along the river and finally directed easternmost VH. Canadian auxiliaries helped the first group in the southern area, where 3 VHs were located.
Due to long travel and stubborn enemy defense the BV was out of question all the time. I focused on scoring regular victory at least, but even that wasn't easy. Luckily I was able to force strong German paratrooper unit to retreat from the last enemy VH, the southernmost behind the river, so I could take it in the last turn for Victory. My recon was quite active in this battle, so the leader assigned was a nice reward for its efforts.

15. Defense of Chambois

Before the battle:
Sold less experienced Flak. Purchased Saperzy (only for this battle) and upgraded last Sherman to Firefly. OSed arties.

I stopped my first attempt perhaps in 5th turn, seeing that my deployment was not good, as my units in the south were in real troubles and one of Sextons was lost there. Decided to replay it once again, as I knew it may be done much better.
For the second try I placed my overstrengthen arties carefully in well deliberated positions, as well as Bridging unit in location that allowed my units from the hill went into action on the south side of river quickly. Having both German VHs in range of strong artillery I was able to deplete defenders and organize fast breakthrough, which gave me opportunity to take BV in the 3rd round, with two turns in spare.

16. Breda

Before the battle:
Sold both 25Pdrs w/o leader and M16 SPAD. Upgraded Greyhound recon to Cromwell and 25Pdr with AM leader to 7,2 inch big gun. Purchased 2x Sexton.

In opposite to some players results and enthusiastic after scenario debriefing I found this battle rather difficult.
I sent quite strong task group consisting of 2 Engineers, Firefly, Wolverine, 3 arties and AD gun to the west (IT AD helped with river crossing). Their task was to help Canadian auxiliaries with western VH capturing and then attack on Breda fortress from the west. The remaining forces formed another group which directed north along eastern edge of map with the task to capture both easternmost objectives. Afterward attack on Breda from the east and if possible from the north was planned.
All three VHs on the left and right wings were captured successfully and in good pace, but when tried to approach Breda surprisingly strong and desperate defense was met, what caused some of my important units to loose a lot of strength. Both Fireflies and one Engineer went down to 2 sp quickly, so were almost useless to the end of battle. Some other units were reduced as well, but ended at 5÷7 sp which allowed them still to fight. Seeing that I slowed down my advance to avoid losses, as BV is not so important at this stage when even protos are unavailable. Anyway, even with more deliberated approach I was not able to save all my units, and one Wolverine was killed by Jagdpanther. The last northern VH was taken just on time for regular Victory.

17. Wilhelmshaven

Before the battle:
Sold both AD guns. Upgraded two remaining 25Pdrs to Sextons.

After checking some battle reports I knew that Luftwaffe appearance is not expected here, so I traded both AD guns and invested all available resources on artillery upgrading and OSing.
This final battle wasn't difficult, as after initial defense breaking it's rather traveling than fighting. The only problem were minefields and bunkers that slowed down my advance. The real fight started on Wilhelmshaven perimeter, which I approached from the north after capturing two VHs on the way, the western- and northernmost ones. The final breakthrough operation consumed some time, and quickly turned out that BV is out of questions, but I continued to push hard as limit for V was only 2 turns longer. Anyway I took the first of port VHs one turn after BV limit, and the second one was taken in the next round, which was the last for regular Victory.

So, the war is over now. I completed my patriotic duties fighting in this excellent campaign. Many thanks for Adler and all his friends which helped him with preparing this well done and polished product.

I would be very happy if you would be willing to invest time and effort in republishing your old AAR's.
For this I would like to thank you in the name of the CC team and all interested players :yeah .

My request: Write to the individual AAR's in which year you played them and with which PG version, so that the readers do not come to confusion with the CC's on OG basis.

Using CC 33 as an example, this would be the case regarding the prestige cap - in PG it exists, in OG it is disabled.

OK, I will include infos regarding the PG2 exe and time to this thread. Adding more stuff will be easy, as I have these files stored in office documents, even with BBCodes in text. Most likely copy/past for majority of them.

:huh I see the reason, as playing at 100 I was above the cap after the first battle. Those settings were very artificial and had no impact on gameplay.
