Play-testers wanted

Post by Lupo » 2020-09-19 17:28, Saturday

I'm looking for playtesters for 3 scenarios. They are all built for PBEM but could also be played as stand alone scenario if you want.

1989 Operation Just Cause
As the americans you have to occupy all key locations in the small canal state while preventing Manuel Noriega from leaving the area to seek refuge abroad. As the panamians you've to gain time, to prevent the american from overrunning all key locations before a guerrilla warfare can be organized in the jungle or let the leader Manuel Noriega escape to organize the resistance.

In singleplayer you play as the americans, the scenario is pretty easy but time is passing quicly, you've to secure the whole country by noon!

1982 Falklands War
As the british you've to retake complete control over the islands and force the enemy garrison to capitulate. As the argentinians you've to hold off the attack untill the operation gets too costly and the british can no longer afford to sustain the offensive or the attack is pusched back into the sea.

In single splayer you play as the british and will dominate pretty much everything but time, advancing into the island is slow even without the argetinians' opposition.
The scenario covers the whole war time frame, so it's an attempt at a 1 scenario campaign. Units involved aren't many but space is large, very large and especially in multyplayer mode you can appreciate lots of liberty in maneouvering your troops letting the player opt for many different solutions.
Just beware of the supply war, there is no turn prestige, and flags are overall scarce. Your supplies will come from sea units and airports (Argentine only) so defend your supply lines while hunting down the enemy supply convoys. New units cannot be deployed during the game (unless you somehow manage to buy a plane) so take care of the ones available and don't throw them away!

1984 Fulda Gap
An hipotetical scenario about the most iconic battle (expected) during the cold war. the soviets launch an offensive with the least preparation possbile to take NATO by surprise and they succede at it. Soviet troops will have to start right out of their barracks but no NATO force is prepared to meet them, so both armies will be rushing to occupy strategic locationsat in the first few hours. While the americans will try to call for reinforcements from the rear they'll have to make do with what's at hand for a while, the soviets on the other hand will enjoy total air supremacy in the beginning and numerical superiority on the ground. The situations will slowly even out with the passing of the time.

As single player you are on the offensive at the lead of the 39th Guard Motorized Rifle Division waiting for mor reinforcements to cath up.
The Map is very large and in oder to win the soviets need to reach and take control of Frankfurt am Main, there are at least two main routes to reach it and more victory hexes to take than the ones needed so various strategies are possible. Supply war is even more complex than in previous scenario.
No unit can by resupplied or repaired without logistic units and prestige is provided by supply units so hunting down/defending them is key. The scenario could be won/lost litterally starving an army to death, don't rely too much on your heavy tanks and super jets if you cannot provide them with the needed fuel!
