You should also keep another fighter proto, if you get one, because four fighters are not enough I think.

You can not have enough fighters :lol In the next scenarios you often have to fight 10-12 enemy planes in the first turn, so fighters and AD/Flak units will be important.

1589 pp and i buy: AT -> StuG IIIF and FTR -> Fw 190A-3.
Strange battle. Few problems at the begin (most to the air as usual) and enemies from 3 directions. The major problems was at SE and SW. Thanks to my bombers and halftrack units i finaly take all VH (could BV-2). Theese entr ATY are nice Major Heinz.

14 Operation Trappenjagd , #13 , Brilliant Victory

I won AT proto and i reload. A nice fighter was there!!! I have to upgrate 1 fighter to CS and i have to buy 1 TB. I ll think about it because i have 1 proto.
I upgrate my influence Fighter to CS, my Pz IVD to Pz IVF2, 1 recon to 250/3(HQ). I don't have pp to buy TB, so i buy 1 Flak. 23 pp left.
Medium battle, could BV-2. My CS fighter help a lot. My ATY had no problem to break enemy 1st line, while some core move naval and capture the airfield. At the end some enemy ships came from east but was too late.

713 pp, nothing at HQ.
First round, one enemy fighter (Spitfire with leader and 12/10) damage 1 of my fighters. So, i restart and place my old fighters behind. AGain attack to my Fw but this time was better. Question to Major Heinz: Chance for leader 109%??? :D :D :D. Nice battle, not easy but not hard at all. At the end i just reduce enemy strength andd at last turn i killed the last units.

Which unit has 109% chance for a leader?
I don`t know when this happen.
:idea 1: A typing mistake. Some units I had given a 99% chance for a leader.
:idea 2: Maybe the chance will rise above 100% if a unit with 99% can`t get a leader because there are already 15 leader.

16 Battle of Sewastopol , #15 , Brilliant Victory

2753 pp and buy inf -> PzGren 42 and AD -> Ad.Kfz. 9 mit 88mm Flak 18. I also add fast speed att to my new AD. 410 pp left.
I did not deploy all my units as i see at Sewastopol are many SH. So i move south with my ATY and some elite units. My unexp core deployed at NE and aux move to the forest. When i capture the first SH near Sewstopol, it was easy to capture the city. The problems with my aux continued for many turns, until my airforce and somecore helped them. Great batlle, it was nice to use some units that i never could buy. This campaign is getting better and better.

WHAT A BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Defence for many rounds, at north and south i counterattack and attack behind enemy at center. Playing hours and hours to decide every move. As the previus battles, enemy had some great leaders.

I think this happens if a unit has a 99% chance of leader (this was set by me) and the unit don`t get the leader with the first combat.

The port that is at North of Sewastopol (29,20). Then my PzGren deploy at sea and with marine ability and the support of ATY capture the South port (27,21)

I can add a Sd.Kfz. 3 Maultier halftrack (mov = 6) ambulance to the efile. But have to create the icon first with the red cross. Will be included with next efile update.

Question to Major Heinz: It is your choice how enemy refit his units? I shot 1 enemy tank and i put an airplane over it. But next round from 3/10 has now 8/10. It is OK?

Edit: This was one of the hardest battles ever. I did a lot of reloads, not for guess enemy moves (autosave), but to find the best strategy (overuns, resuply). I don't believe it was a cheat but i have to say that i don't believe i could get to BV (even that i finaly lost) without reloads.

Proto AT with inf. Upgrate my 2 Grenadiere 40 to 42 (free) and my 2 inf 40 (mot) to grenadiere 42. Also my last Pz IVE to Pz IVG.
I play again with mines (also my TB is great for that, if i had max ammo att will be better). At north my trap (as you see in previus post) works great, with ATY, AD, 1 recon CS and my T-34. Overuns and suply. My airforce after finishing enemy at the air makes a lot of critical hits, thankfully the airport at northeast is not so far.
At southeast when the enemy ATY and AD close to river, i deceide to move back (meanwhile the same job has happend, Tank behind river and overruns)
At south i keep good the bridge, resuply often my ATY's. At southwest i prepare my defence but i don't know how long i can defend. 12 rounds before battle ends i have to kill 109 units and the terrain is now dry. My first mistake, 1 of my Ju-88 damaged (5/10, was out of ammo) maybe is time to move back.
10 turns left, 89 units to kill, maybe it is the last turn to hold the VH. At the river things getting worst. The only thing that keeps me at VH is that i have mines and there is no many enemy inf (only 2 units) at north. At img 3 i make a try to attack enemy from side with 2 inf units. I believe i can reduce enemy ATY. Also i'll try to attack with my heroic T-34 at north, if there is a chance to keep VH.

At img 4 is after my try and when the enemy had his move. At north 1 fighter was hit bad by 4 AD - Flaks and one AT at north was out of ammo, but it seems that maybe i can hold.

At img 5, 6 turns remain, i think that i can hold. With my recon fighter i found at north many ATY but at south i believe i can win.

At next turns enemy did not move, so i could destroy all tanks with attacks behind river. At north only AT and AD did not move. I had the chance to win by killing all units that i but i take a loss, i left 1 unit (enemy had more).
Major Heinz i am speakless. You make the perfect battle. Real time that i played this battle was more than 24 hours. I had as i said reloads but the most of the time was thinking my startegy. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!

I see that in Deutsches Forum your progress (and Major heinz) but i believe that google can't help me with translate from Germans so i have to ask from here:
At next (and for the moment last scenario) Major Heinz suggest to buy 1 AT, add Max Speed to all units (i guess ground) and OS some units. But from 6638 pp after the Max Speed i have 1550 pp left for OS.
Question: Is not too early to spend pp for OS?

The next scenario is not easy. Soviets have a lot of tanks that will come as reinforcement. Depending on your progress on battlefield (depending on weather and ground conditions) they will counterattack and fall into your flanks or maybe will appear in your rear and threat captured VH. It is your decision if you want to play with OS. I had given full OS to all leadred units. I think it can help a lot (esp. on artillery) or it is easier to kill units faster (full OS to a tank). My Overwhelming Attack overrolled many tanks. I had saved the after scenario prestige, so I had over 9000 pp and after giving Fast Speed to all units and full OS to my leadred units I still had over 1000 pp. You have bought better units like Strammer Max, so you haven`t enough for full Fast Speed and partially full OS.
You should also make a savegame before you end the scenario, if you want to play all scenarios, because campaign will split depending on your type of victory. Obviously you will need a lot of time for Wintergewitter, because you will need over 20 turns for a BV.
I want to write something to The 6Th Army is doomed, but I´m in a hurry. Maybe I will write something later.

Seeing more than 6000 prestige blocked my brain for several days :lol I guess i will buy a Tiger and upgrade another tank and buy attachments for the rest of the pp, but NO overstrength.

Before i start next scenario, i ll have some conclusions so far.
The campaign is great, and the level of difficulty increases. Major Heinz creates epic battles that i ll play for ever.
E-file is perfect, i like to spend time to analyze all theese new units. I have my favourites but it is so nice to find new units. The idea of Healer unit is great, maybe a suply unit will also could help (i mean, i have 1 unit that is out of ammo but is close to enemy, so i can't full resuply. If that unit goes next to suply unit, that unit gets full resuply- anyway, it is just an idea).
Once more, a big thanks to everybody that helps this great game to be even in 2022 the best game ever.

Yes, there are so many units in randowes efile and this is one of the biggest plus points of the efile.
Speaking about 6th Army is doomed and generally: I personally don`t like the feature of dropping mines. Imo just the creator should decide if there should be dropped mines. Dropped mines are some sort of cheating for me, because AI will never do this on her own. I am thinking of forbid dropping mines in campaign rules. As I have played it without dropping mines, it should be possible to play it without and dropping mines just makes the scenarios easier than they should be.
Refering to the 6th Army is doomed I don`t like the situation that the scenario is easier than it should be.
I was thinking of three possible solutions:
1. The player is allowed to win this scenario by holding the only VH. After the scenario he will get told that he was taken out of front time, because supply situation crashed. Then I would reduce the turn number of 5 and disable prototypes for this scenario. (Problem: Just a logical one. In reality the soviets would just bypass players army and surround it. Also then the 6th Army would be encircled, if the soviets are right of the germans.)
2. I will set an VH on the left side and on the right side of the map. The player has to hold all VH to win the scenario. (Problem: I think therefore are not enough units for the player to defend three VHs. The possibility of losing core units gets higher.)
3. I will set hidden VHs, that the AI will conquer and the player also has to go out of the pocket and capture the VHs to win the scenario. (Problem: Player can see the VHs in Suite and so makes things easier for him)

I don't think it was easy. I reload a lot of times during the battle, it was so nice battle :clap
About mines, i was never used to do this, but it is something that i like. Off course the choice is yours and you make the rules.
If i could not drop mines, i just move earlier. I repeat, it is NOT easy scenario.
IMHO, you should not have the option the player to kill an exact number of units for win. Even with reloads i could never kill all units.
As about 3, if someone wants to use suite, he will do. E.G. i use suite only when i want to delete leader.

PS It was not easy scenario, it was great, don't change it, pls :yes :yes

Maybe you can write in the outro text, that the scenario is a loss anyway because eventually the Germans had to retreat into the pocket (after the scenario). Something like this.
For me, loss or win doesn't matter, as long as the campaign continues. The scenario is good and need no changes in my opinion.

Supply units are very powerful because when you park them next to (heavy) artillery, the artillery will never run out of ammo.
I know what you mean, when you are surrounded by enemy units like in the last scenario "the 6th army..." it can be hard to resupply front line units. I alsways take into account which unit i want to resupply, so i plan my actions and overruns accordingly. The best is when a tank can overrun (but not move) the enemy units in front of him, so there is no enemy in a adjacent hex, and then the tank resupply at end of overrun.

Operation Wintergewitter (Part I)

6368 pp. After the purchase of AT and fast speed to all ground units, 1550 pp for OS.
I deceide to try something else.

1st round and my 1st mistake. Thankfully my airforce (specially the recon mov units and my 2 full range attack did some damge to enemy and my leader recon is not dead) (img 1).Image

2nd round, my army split, all my airforce with most of my core moved to center, aux and some core move to northeast. My airforce with my arty did great job (even with hard terain). Enemy airforce make a move and attack my aux. It will be easy for my fighters to destroy 3 aircrafts. My damaged recon will stay close to healer unit for 2 turns, so it can be part of the war, as you can see (img 2). The terain now changed from ice to mud.

3rd round and as you can see (img 3), enemy airforce is still here, (i just killed 3 fighters, we have work to do). I capture the 1st VH and i have to move slow, this mud is annoying.

4th round. I believe this must be the last aircraft. The road to center is rough and i don't want to split my army. My recon has now 8/10. (img 4)

5th round. My recon mov fighter damaged (5/10) from an enemy MG (it was out of ammo). My T-34 proves me one more time that is a great tank. I m thinking to cross the river and kill all enemies at northwest. At center, i m thinking to split my army, the ground is now dry. (img 5)

At northcenter there are many enemy units so i wait and just kill with my T-34. I sucrifice some aux. I should have another ATY and maybe i should have and my bridge. For the moment is not bad. At center no enemy around me, i still move slow. (img 6)

At morthwest as i ecpected, my core is safe for the moment but my plan to reduce the enemy ammo not work because more units came from northwest, if i had one canon i could destroy AD. For the moment, my aircrafts stay away. At center, something BIG hit my leader tank, must be devastaving fire BIG ATY.
My Tigers get in the battle (but they need fuel), my Sturer stays easy out of fuel, at center you can see (img7) i have ATY that will help, at north i make my move. I am in the middle of the map but something tells that want be easy. I split the army to center (few of my core), the rest move east. Sturer is great gun (when has fuel :D) and destroy a train AD and some of my airforce don't enemy ATY to resuply (parabellum tactic)..

At 10th round my army at northwest kill a lot of units but at center s big soviet army cames from nowhere (i count 14 units). It was snowing bue enemy has all weather fighter and damage 1 TB (4/10). My rest army to east have to move back to center to support my other units (6 units). Thankfully is not snowing (img 8) but there are 4 enemy aircrafts. CHAOS!!!!

My Tiger at center prooves why is the MVP of the tanks. As you can see (img 9) enemy had damages everywhere, except that more Soviets came from east and recapture my 1st VH. Major Heinz rules!!!!!

At img 10 you can see that at east there are still enemies. At north east and at center more enemies. I have 13 turns left, i have 3 VH to go and 2 Flags.

Well Part II was easy.

Part II
The weather helps to see a lot of enemy units. Healer unit is just wondefull. If there is no other enemy reinforcements, i believe i can get a BV very soon.

Another fighter was damaged by horse Flak (again out of ammo - 3/10). The weather is still good, a few enemy tanks but my Tigers and Sturer are ready.
At far east my 2 inf maybe they will need some help to finish 1 enemy AD and 1 enemy Flak. (img 12)

I am not running, i just clear the map, left some units to my VH and move slow to the last 2 VH
I believe i am almost done. (img13)

6 turns to BV and i killed all units. So i reload, i left the far east enemy AD and wait to the last turn. The enemy buy 1 fighter, that i killed (img 14)

The same one turn later, another enemy fighter killed by my AD's.
That thing happends until last turn. 1 turn was snowing, so i killed 2 of them the last turn (with the support of my fighters)
So i keep this save (LT before BV) and wait with impatience the next battle.

BV -6 is hard for me. But I think in this scenario you have to consider the ground conditions. I won in 22 (and I had not to fight against one batle group, because it did not move, because of a silly mistake :bonk ) turns, Randowe in 23 and you in 19. I think I will reduce the turn number from 25 to 24. But not more, because otherwise if a good player would have bad luck with ground conditions, he would never has a chance to win BV.

The weather was realy great :D :D , not only with ground conditions. It is very critical IMO to can wach enemy.
You should try play again with Tigers and why not, Sturer. OK, has low fuel but when it fires, it is a hell for the enemy.

Actually i could have been faster too, but wanted to destroy some enemy units that were still nearby.
Muddy ground can be a game changer here, so it is not that bad to have some turns in reserve.
And i guess the fun is the same, no matter if you do a BV in 20 or 25 turns :lol :cool

Before I tested the scenario I made a run without reinforcements, just to see when they should arrive. In this run there were a lot of mud and frozen ground. In needed nearly 15 turns to cross the river. That`s the reason why AI fall into your back and not into your flanks.
Also I would say that you, Clemens and Dimtris are not the persons to go by, because you are both very good players. But your performance showed me that the campaign should be possible for good players at 90% or maybe even 80%.

Hard to say. Wintergewitter is a scenario where you can go to two paths. In one path I have succeeded to Bagration. I think I will make another scenario in this path and then go on with the fictional path. There are also six scenarios until this path ends. After I would have done this, I think I would sent the new stuff to Randowe, so he can use it for an upgrade of the Efile. But I don`t know when this would be. As I am wirking as a free journalist, it is very different how much work I have in the week, and so I don`t know how much time I will have to make the next scenarios.
At the moment are five new scenarios. If you want I can send you the scenarios, but not at the moment, because I have to write the texts before. :D
