Atomic Weltkrieg by Puma

Post by Puma » 2023-04-24 10:34, Monday

Thought I would drop this in before I leave the computer for two months. I have been playing this campaign for a while and have completed the first 50 scenarios.
Seige of Leningrad is finished.
The enemy has lost 5869 units so far and I have lost 20 units, all auxiliaries.

Hey Puma :howdy I am happy to see that you play the campaign!
So there 8 players or more that are playing the campaign at the moment or played recently :cool

I am interested to hear what you think of the campaign. Do you like the scenarios and maps? Is there enough variety? The scenarios intros?

I like the campaign and it is well documented and very professional looking. I originally disliked the large maps but I really like them now.
The bad points are the lack of incentives.
No prototypes means no incentives for a BV.
No supply hexes for AI means no rush to capture them to prevent enemy units being purchased.
With few enemy reinforcements arriving, there is no rush to ambush them.
With no fuel for planes there is no rush to capture enemy airfields to starve the enemy planes of fuel.

All of these means the campaign is very relaxing and easy to play.
It is great to play a new long campaign again.

Thanks for your feedback!
It's all done on purpose (playability, no protos, no enemy SH (except 2 scenarios) etc.) and it sounds like I've achieved all of my goals.
When there is no need to push for a BV it opens up the game imo.
I am especially happy that you like the big maps.
With you i know at least 8 players started the campaign. That's more i have ever dreamed of. Does not mean all with finish it though :lol
