Hi Golothin, I have a question about some campaigns. The mission of some campaigns are missing, for example Red Destiny and Red Alert. Are they under development or finished completely?

Well that was a lot of fun especially the game giving me all those 54cm G041s :evil and in spite of my desk top dying after 24 scenarios and having to rebuild the save game from scratch :thud luckily the AAR that I saved to USB was ok but of course the all important save game was corrupted :irate in hindsight it would have been better to have started again as it took so damn long to recreate the save :(

:lol

Liebe Grüsse, Golothin!

Oh, then i have to add some more scenarios to my campaign :lol :lol

How long is the longest path in that campaign? There are several choice scenarios, so does the player play 80 scenarios?

Haha ok, i see :cool Guess i can start by adding scenarios against Japan at the end of the campaign :lol I am debating with myself for basically two years now if i should do it or not because Japan has only very few strong units that can match the German Wunderwaffen at the end of the war.

What about:
1. End campaign scenarios with German land units supported by Japanese Navy against Allied remnants in southern Asia; India maybe to start with and progressing east.
2. More or less same business initially, but make it a mid campaign alternate path to the U. S. of A. by the east, and across the Pacific to the West Coast. The other alternative being to approach the US via Atlantic. I suppose these would be alternatives available on defeating European enemies, including the USSR. Although a German - Japanese concerted operation against the USSR could also be interesting to see.
3. Another alternate post Soviet defeat path could be an attack on the American continent via Alaska - Canada - US and ending, maybe, in Brazil.

Very nice ideas indeed :cool India, Brazil, US West Coast :cool But there are no suitable maps. At least with the specifications i use. Maps are always the most limiting factor. And in October it will be 2 years since somebody else published a new map... :dunno

randowe wrote: 2024-07-20 11:51, Saturday Haha ok, i see :cool Guess i can start by adding scenarios against Japan at the end of the campaign :lol I am debating with myself for basically two years now if i should do it or not because Japan has only very few strong units that can match the German Wunderwaffen at the end of the war.
:notworthy

Hi Björn

Congratulations for EFILE_LXF 1.0 :clap

Regarding that, is there any file to be deleted from the current EFILE_LXF package available at open-general.com ?

or I can overwrite any existing file in the repo and commit changes in order to update the LXF efile package and the the installer in OG website.

Right, quite a lot of work involved.
Probably not only maps.
Some nations that would appear on those paths may have never been considered for WWII gaming.
Except maybe PGX World version...
So, maybe a few new nations and respective e-file work.
And I only mentioned starting points, general progressing directions and ending points.
A German force coming from the Iraq / Persia region into India and succeeding would probably link to Japanese forces in Burma and be able to traverse Indochina without much trouble but would probably have to deal with China. After that either progress into a Pacific island hopping aiming at the West Coast or into Vladivostok or an invented / newly built naval base further north, then Aleutians, Alaska, Canada, US, Mexico, Central America, South America. And meantime I already forgot the ANZAC along the way.
Perhaps even craziest alternate route; German - Italian force defeats the Allies in Africa; instead of pressing east into oil fields that were not yet discovered for the most part, at least officially, it veers south into the conquest of colonial Africa with all its rich resources. From there it crosses the South Atlantic into South America and progresses north to meet its strongest enemy in the end.
But still, there are no maps for that...
