the campaign is short, consisting of 12 scenarios, most of them are easy to win with a few turns spared, however, it's a no-auto-refit campaign, so cc team decided to not make it significantly harder, and time to time a cc should be fun for the beginners too. anyway, veterany players are recommended to play at fm or general levels.

thanks to Kowdar for openizing this campaign! :bow

***

the efile is an interesting semi-high cost efile: tanks and planes don't cost as much as in openak or lxf, so don't hesitate to build an armored division, and buying a core figther is managable even at 20%

have fun!

The Campaign Briefing is lacking the info [no auto refit] :whine
Imho, any... lets say "important" ? Imho, any important Campaign Rule (i.e. no auto refit, upgrade & OS in SH, etc) should be mentioned in the briefing.

There are some units and flags outside the map borders.
Example at Seoul in the southeast map corner (only visible at Strategic View) or at Pusan (hex (16,38)).

The US and South Korean [105mm M2A1] have different icons (split trail vs single trail) and Ammo stats (14 vs 12).

Pyongyang
Aux P-51 starts with 8 Ammo, should be 6 ?

Chongchon
Many (inf) units have more Ammo than they should, some (tanks) have less than their max.
Scenario starts on 25th November and extends into December, while the next scenario (Chosin) starts on 27th November.

Chosin
Default XP drops from 100 (in Chongchon) to 0.

The victory conditions in scenario 11 "SPRING OFFENSIVE 2ND STAGE" should be revised urgently. The VH's can be conquered too quickly and easily. Or sharply lower the turn limit.

Efile critique

:huh :fused
The low Fuel of ground units. The campaign is short/easy, but in longer/more difficult scenarios, the low Fuel could lead to a bottleneck. Also, units without Fuel have defense penalty. I understand that Fuel and resupply should be a "big" consideration when playing, but at less than 35 fuel it grows to a "serious" problem - imho.

The Attachments are a bit expensive - but this is highly subjective, and different efiles/campaigns have different policies about this topic.

Otherwise, i like the Efile very much
- innovative ideas
- minefields as units
- aircraft don't need Fuel
it is fun to play campaigns :cool

Campaign critique

Negative feelings are only about 2 things.

1) the easyness of some scenarios:
- Pusan
- Operation Thunderbolt
- Spring Offensive 2nd Stage
- Fall Offensives
Especially "Pusan" and "Spring Offensive 2nd Stage": both can be won in 3-4 turns, which feels too short.

2) Default XP goes up and down, up and down.
Especially a drop going back down to 0 XP is rather critical, and leads to a point where core building gets difficult - or respectively unpredictable.

Neutral feelings - something which i think i should mention, but is about (a potental re-)balance:
- Green Replacements come with so much XP, that buying Elite Replacements is rather meaningless
Maybe dropping their XP to 55-60% would work better.

Good feelings, the campaign
- is short
- doesn't involve too many auxes, respectively with a bigger core they can be ignored
- easy to play
In the past couple of years many medium to high difficulty and/or long campaigns were released, leaving the "playing field" for beginners and those looking for something quick to play rather thin.

Overall, i found the campaign enjoyable :cool
Thank you very much Kowdar and CC Team :bow

E-file review
I mostly agree with Chris's assessment.

The small amounts of fuel are annoying, but they do not play a decisive role in the war in this campaign. In most scenarios, there are only short distances to drive and there are only one or two scenarios in which a fuel stop would have to be made.

The attachments are really very expensive and it is worth considering whether the player would rather invest in a new unit than in two attachments. With a prestige level of 40% or less, attachments are really not recommended. You also have to keep an eye on possible repair costs, which quickly screw up to dizzying heights.

Campaign criticism
Even if the campaign is very suitable for beginners and newbies, the turn limit should actually be reduced somewhat in some scenarios, because bv-xx results somehow don't feel good either.
The standard experience on new units should be chronological and no ups and downs. You should possibly already from the second scenario, e.g. Start with 25 exp and slowly increase, because there are few opponents at the beginning of the campaign and gaining experience is very slow. If, after four scenarios, you sell your old inexperienced units because new ones are offered with 100exp, the opportunity for leaders also decreases. I have e.g. only received four pieces.

regarding fuel issue: tanks and motorized units are cheap as hell, so i don't mind they have this disadvantage. and i often play with fuel=28 tigers in my cc runs, so i already got used to use low fuel units :2cents

regarding decreasing base exp: i haven't checked all scenarios, but imo zero exp is reasonable when the army is on the retreat and/or the supply lines are cut off. however, i admit, it's absolutely annoying, and imo Santi was famous for using this trick in his campaigns, maybe he was envy for :steve for his devilish reputation ;)

To all CC team members: We have not tested whether the campaign is playable with 0% prestige. I hope that my current attempt will be successful with 0%. So far it looks good. I would therefore suggest that the "General of the Army's Level 0%" be included in the announcement of the campaign and that it will also be included in the SOH later.
We can postpone the final decision until I (or someone else) actually successfully completes the campaign.

Whats your opinion?

Hi

Good CC to return to the game... Maybe in some scenarios like Inchon include in the briefings some advice over limited deployment? :2cents
One last fight, it's the death throes of the 3rd Reich
Justice shall be done, The final battle remains
Ammo is running low, they're depleting their machine guns
Every bullet counts until surrender is announced
