So here is my playtest of Chris and mine new campaign which is currently been developed:

Current scenario: Operation Herkules

Our core units and a italian fleet start in the northeast and i sent most of them to the central northern coast of Malta. One infantry unit got dispatched to the northwestern tip of the island but had to wait some turns before it entered the battle. Then it ran two times into rugged defence and was pretty much useless :lol

Meanwhile my auxiliary paratroopers captured the central airfield and then moved slowly to the southeast. Later they got reinforced by an aux paratrooper MG unit. These 3 units captured the southeastern VH without much problems. My core army approached Valletta from the east.

After some turns an italian auxiliary force appeared on the scene and attacked the Gozo VH from the west after making landfall. One italian unit sailed to the port of Gozo and one sailed to the northern tip of Malta.
An enemy fleet appeared on the scene as well, sailing towards Malta from the northwest. My aux ships and torpedobombers took care of the british fleet :evil

My fighter scored 9 kills, but these were mostly enemy units who got already reduced to 1 or 2 stregth points :lol

Current scenario: El Agheila

At the beginning of the scenario i got a bomber-fighter proto. At HQ i sold the AT gun's fast speed attachment and bought a truck transport instead. Then i bought a 100mm mortar and a Flak MG.

While our Italian allies are being attacked by enemy troops, our core starts at the open sea after being shipped to Africa.
The player's army arrives just in time to save the axis' positions and stop the British advance.

I deployed my troops according their transports. My two infantry units lack any ground transport and i deployed them on the most eastern deployment hexes.
These two infantry units were to travel most of the way in naval transports. Most of the other units went for the shortest route.

Meanwhile both Italian positions got attacked by enemy forces. My core came to late to save the eastern one, but the enemy advance could be stopped at the center of the map near El Agheila. After the center was secured, i launched a counterattack and was able to recapture the city in the east, Brega.

Now the axis army will march to Tobruk!

Current scenario: Operation Aurora

The intro text mentioned an incomming enemy tank army, so i bought an ATY/AT at HQ. Later i bought an additional motorized infantry when i had the prestige. The player also gets more free core units at start and by trigger hex. In the final stage of the scenario i bought a cheap bomber, which i will sell off after the scenario.

My first action was to capture the airfield in the south, so i could deploy my planes. Then i set up a defensive perimeter in the south to stop the enemy tanks. I used my ATY/AT shielded by infantry. The ATY/AT took out nearly all enemy tanks alone. A pitty the support fire kills are counted for the units my gun gave support fire for :lol

Anyway, meanwhile my italian auxiliary troops had captured the airfield in the north. Most of my core units approached the VHs south of Tobruk.
I had sent 4 units, a core tank and 3 aux units to the SHs and SH/VH in the southeast. When one of the aux infantries was next to the VH, an enemy force appeared out of nowhere and my unit was lost. Luckily the enemy units lacked the strength and my tank could kill them all after some fighting.

In the later stages of the scenario i attacked Tobruk with most of my army. I missed BV, but i was satisfied with the performance of my units. Well...two of my not-so-motorized infantries were to slow to really take part in the fighting...

mythos made the needed changes on the scneario already and now it's my turn again. Next stop Sollum :howdy

Forgot to post this last week. Or was i just to lazy? :bonk :lol

Current scenario: Race to Sollum

At HQ i sold the temporary biplane bomber and bought two tanks. I thought with their tracked movement they would perform good in the desert.
I also upgraded one Flak into a SPFlak and bought two trucks for the motorized infantry. Finaly they wear their name "motorized" rightfully :lol

Then i deployed my units in two battlegroups. They had to speed eastwards and mainly stayed on the roads. After few turns a damaged italian battlegroup appears on the scene. I had to refuel them and they also needed some ammo. They were pursued by british units and i had to build a defensive perimeter in the south.
Meanwhile most of my units were driving along the Via Balbia (italian colonial coastal road in Libya) to the east.
I had no ATY near Sollum, so one of my recon cars captured the city VH and got the leader by trigger.
Both recons have a leader now :yes

Yeah, i am late again :lol

Current scenario: Battle of Alexandria

Got a paratrooper engineer proto and bought a fighter at HQ. Later i bought another dive bomber, after i had amassed the needed prestige.

I had two and a half battlegroups :) One just drove up the coast, pretty straight forward, and captured Alexandria.
Italian auxiliary human torpedos sank one of the battleships in the Alexandria port and heavily damaged the other one.

The central battlegroup had to capture the nearby airfield first and then followed the roads through the desert.
In the far east i had a small battlegroup which made a wide flanking maneuver along the eastern map edge. The eastern and central battlegroups met at the central VH, which was defended by South African troops.

The fastest units from all battlegroups met in the north in the later stage of the scenario and approached the last VH in the northeast.
I cleared the area with naval support fire and bombers and the VH was empty, but my two recon cars lacked just one hex both, and i was not able to capture the empty VH in time for a BV.

I got no new leader and still have only 4.
