To campaign makers on the list: In case you have stopped thinking about making a campaign on the list, please post an update. For now, I have removed campaigns from makers that have not logged on for half a year or longer.

Short German Campaign 1941 - 1945 "Panthers In The Mud"

Fictional WW2 small scale, 8-scenario, East Front, tank-based, company-level, easy-to-moderate campaign. A test of what OGX, Suite, and myself are capable of.
Tested, 95% debugged, need to write the texts, this I'll hopefully do during this weekend. Or maybe not. I hate texting.

Image

October 1st, 1941. Unternehmen Taifun
Your light tanks company is a part of a battalion tasked with breaking through the Soviet defense west of Vyazma. A river crossing is held by enemy artillery, but your reconnaisance found a ford north of your starting positions. Infantry support must outflank the artillery, clear the village, and secure the bridgehead. Rush towards your main objective and rendezvous with forward elements of Waffen-SS division approaching from the south. Destroy the Soviet blockade in the nearby city.

Hehe, i guess everyone hates texting. That's why i always write the text when i create the scenario, so i don't have to write ALL texts at the end :lol
Nice you use that map :cool

If you need someone for test-playing...? :salute

Btw, someone out there interested in a collaborative campaign in the future?

Yep, I should have made it like that, write the text while deisgning. But lots of my scenarios went, go, and will go through many changes, so sometimes the original idea (and thus an intro) changes so much, that it's unrecognizable. Oh, the joy of Fantasy General. :-D

Thanks for the p-t offer. I mostly throw my victims naked to the lions, but this time I'm not really sure about the result, and it may be good if you look at it. :clap

Collaborative campaign? I'm sad that nothing came out of the (Atomic efile?) collaborative campaign for which i made a (kinda nice, imao) Mars map. :-(
I'm not into collabs anymore. Not that I'm pissed because of the non-result, but I rather cannot work on anything "real". I like my style of tiny scenarios based on zero research and RPG-like elements. :-D

It must be at least five years old, and it was some post-ww2, alternative history, weird tales, sci-fi mix of ideas. I'm not sure how it ended, well, I'm not even sure how it started, but it was meant for some unorthodox efile, and I made a map for a (US?) colony on Mars:

But it seems the campaign is in the list in the first post of this thread and here is the JP's thread:

Wow, that's nice! I was AFK for a few years so this must be the reason why I missed a lot of things! I'll take a look asap, I'm pretty interested if my old scenario was used in any way, shape, or form. I remeber having fun designing it, what I don't remeber at all, is what it was about. :huh :-D

AFAIK, Redfox never released anything of the collaborative campaign. If it wasn't for the fact that multiple scenarios were created by him (and we don't have those), we could try and put the scenarios we do have together in a campaign. I still have the Fresh Kills landfill scenario I made for the campaign.

My whole part can be deleted from the list in the opening post please. I'll create the two black sea campaigns (axis and soviet) this year and then assess the general situation.

"1944 - 1945 FROM D-DAY TO DEUTSCHLAND", is finished and can be deleted from the multiple designer section.
My name also can be deleted from the "Alpenkorps" and "Rise and Fall" collaborative campaigns, as i am not part of these anymore.

thanks :howdy

Unfortunately it's been so long I don't think I have any trace of the original campaign files anymore -- have migrated a few machines since then and that was before I knew about source control. If anyone has any of those scenarios left and still wants to use them, at this point it'd probably be best to retool it into a standalone scenario and just submit it to the file that way.

Duke also made at least one, possibly two campaigns for EFILE_AO that never got submitted -- those could be integrated too, but probably would take a lot more work as they had new nations/equipment and they might conflict with the original file which I think was being updated around the same time.

In any case, you can take the campaigns on this list in my name off -- don't have any active plans to work on stuff at this moment

Hi Austin. A pitty to hear some material has gone missing. But very happy to see this sign of life :) and you finding this forum. At least we already have a few really nice AO campaigns. My son loves playing with those ants :D

Also: you still have a map number reservation. Shall I cancel that one, or do you have plans to submit a map anytime soon?

I wish there would be more active designers, but at least there is ONE BIG RED light at the end of the tunnel ;) :cool

I am making good progress with my 3 current campaigns and i think there will be one more campaign by the end of the year. A campaign that focus on the german 13th Panzer-Division. Player's core will be small and will feature only units of that one tank division. Only 2 new maps will be needed for that campaign. But thats autumn music :lol

I have made 4 campaigns for World War III, but have only ever posted 1 (Red Shock) as I don't like to write the intro/victory text and don't know how to make videos. If anyone were interested in completing the text I would gladly send them.

Nobody likes to write texts i guess :lol Thats why i always write the text immediately when i create a scenario! Thus i don't end up with a bunch of unwritten texts when the campaign is already finished.
Well, i don't think there will be any volunteers, but if you write the texts yourself, you really can keep them short. There is no need to include a long poetic story. And a victory text can be as short as "Well done!" :yes There is also no need to include videos.

IDK if anything comes out of this ever. I mean: ever. I need to rework the last scenario and I got like 1/16 of texts...
Maybe I'll find some time on THIS weekend, just one year later or what.

Hi all

Just for information...
I have been working on improving the German LSSAH campaign, mostly focusing on improving scenario descriptions, fixing unit locations according to the situation maps, migrating scenarios to new maps when they become available, etc. I am copy/pasting below CHANGELOG of modifications I did (and TODO list of what can/should be done next). So if there is an interest from the community to test the updated campaign, I will be more than happy to share it.
My current plan is to finish revising the campaign till the mid 1942 when LSSAH was moved back to Europe, after which I am more then open for the feedback regarding whether existing scenarios (1939-1942) should be further improved, or it is better to add new scenarios.

CHANGELOG
- SCN files are polished, file names are aligned and file references are corrected
- in some SCN files, references to MAP files are updated
- "Advance on Dunkirk" is replaced with a completely new scenario reflecting better historical events
- campaign description text is updated
- Epsom and Charnwood scenario end scenario description text is updated
- deployment hexes are added to Caen and Balaton scenarios
- a new scenario "Rotterdam" is added
- minor German unit fixes in the Skopje scenario
- German and Greek unit fixes in the Vevi scenario
- Default German units are added to the "Metsovon pass" scenario (Mar 13, 2019)
- "Dubno" scenario is heavily revised
- "Uman encirclement" scenario is heavily revised
- "Kherson" scenario is completely re-designed with a new map (Sep 25, 2020)

TODO:
- Warsaw (new scenario, can be borrowed from Fall Weiss)
- Kastoria lake (new Greek scenario, no map)
- Peloppones (new Greek scenario, map exists)
- Uman (revise the existing scenario, new map exists)
- Zhitomyr / Stalin defense line 1941 (new Soviet scenario, no map)
- Kakhovka (new scenario, map exists)
- Melitopol (revise existing scenario, new map exists)
- Taganrog (new scenario, no map, a new map might be designed soon)
- Mius (new defensive scenario, no map, Taganrog winter map could be used for it)
- Kharkov defense (revise existing scenario)
- 3rd battle for Kharkov (new scenario, can be borrowed from DasReich)
- Po river valley (new scenario, map exists)
- Kamenets-Podolski (new scenario, map exists)
- Operation Luttich (new scenario, can be borrowed from DasReich)
- Falaise Gap (new scenario, can be borrowed from DasReich)
- Balaton offensive (new scenario, map exists)
- Vienna (new scenario)

October 1st, 1941. Unternehmen Taifun
Your light tanks company is a part of a battalion tasked with breaking through the Soviet defense west of Vyazma. A river crossing is held by enemy artillery, but your reconnaisance found a ford north of your starting positions. Infantry support must outflank the artillery, clear the village, and secure the bridgehead. Rush towards your main objective and rendezvous with forward elements of Waffen-SS division approaching from the south. Destroy the Soviet blockade in the nearby city.
Campaign is finally ready! I've sent the files to the powers that be, so it'll be downloadable soon!
:tiger :tiger :tiger :tiger Wait for the official announcement! :tiger :tiger :tiger :tiger

Hello All,
I am a UsefulIdiot.

I have been working on an Italian WW2 campaign,
based on the premise "What if Italy didn't suck".
Its 22 Scenarios with original (Bad) maps, and into videos.

The point of divergence is the treaty of Rapallo,
where the Germans are allowed to serve in the Italian army,
and Italy can purchase German units, and decides to build a small effective army.

How can I upload it here?

Useful Idiot.

saying just BTW historically only if you are Italian.... Italian royal army didn't suck, it saved many cultural monuments and many lives, at least speaking about own nationals in Dalamtia in general and few Serb monuments on Kosovo ;) .... maternal grandmother line family lived in regions close to border created after ww1 (Italian was second most spoken language after "Serbo-Croatian") and in late 1941/1942/1943 Italian areas were safe to run to and Italian army not feared as much. Maybe not some combat effectiveness records, but not as shameful record as well...

if not Italian, nonetheless alright comment from me on bad line. welcome, it depends on efile used but Wonder Doc explained well who are persons for contact :yes

Thank you.
I agree I may have over spoken the "What if Italy didn't..."
General Balboa's flight around the world and 100,000 Italian flags at the worlds fair in Chicago,
the motor torpedo boats and the human torpedos, the Folgore division,
the Ariete that Rommel said "Never let him down", the Caproni motor jet,and many more actions and developments.

I hope my humble campaign brings happiness.

Maybe you can provide some basic informations. What's the time frame, the number of scenarios, the Efile used? Is it a fictional or historic campaign, or both?

EDIT: :bonk :bonk I had already forgot about your original post. So its 22 scenarios and somewhat fictional :yes

hello

Well, The "Italian Campaign" is
22 Scenarios,
From Sep1939 to December 1941.
The "Standard WW2 efile" (I can't recall which one)
With a few extra units.
Italy can buy a few German units,
such as the 109, and FW190, and Ju87 :uzi
and there are "Fantasy units" :monster
such as Pi 108, a 155mm gun howitzer,CV33's used as Bren Gun Carriers, etc.
With the exception of the Pi108, most these are about as good as the Italians would
face in ww2, such as the T34, Spifires, Soviet A19 Howitzer.
Of course, our old friends the Cr42 and SM79 are there for those who feel the need. :nyet

All the hexes except Malta are 10km, and all the units are
Regiment/Brigade sized and I have a reasonable correspondence to Historical orders of Battle.
(Don't do what I did and end up on the Russian front after fighting an air war in the Med and forget about an army... :thud )
The campaign grew out of the question:
"What equipment would Italy need to be effective?" :idea
And, as such, its fantasy in the way SSI's original Panzer General was.
You know, the game we started after work and played until it was light outside.... :evil

I am lately tempted on making a campaign small in size for Kaiser e-file.
Using Japan. So far I am divided on 3 possible options.
First Sino-Japanese War
Allied Intervention in Siberia
Japan in WW1.

OK, guys (and girls), I finished the designing and testing of another campaign, I just need to text it, and I'm feeling a little bit of an enthusiasm for writing! Not a real graphomania attack, but I may do something. So stay tuned, and may, maybe there will be something cool this weekend... or another.

With thundering engines as fast as lightning,
Through victory and defeat they fought their way.
With blockades and tanks the foes tried to stop them,
But in full speed they rolled at their prey.
